1. Pengembangan Rencana Pengelolaan Kolaboratif untuk Kawasan Konservasi dan Wilayah Kelola Masyarakat Hukum Adat di BLKB
|
Description: West Papua Provincial Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning West Papua Provincial Spatial Planning for 2021-2041 allocates marine conservation areas of around 3.1 million Ha (82.9% have been designated and 17.1% are still in the Reserve stage by the provincial government). In addition, around 19,000 hectares of Customary Law Community (CLC) management areas have been accommodated on the coast and sea, spread across Fak-fak, Sorong and Tambrauw Regencies. The next challenge is how conservation areas and CLC areas are managed effectively and fairly to balance the goals of protecting biodiversity with the aim of obtaining ecological and socio-economic benefits for the community. Efforts to achieve big management goals require management plans and fisheries action plans that are prepared and implemented in a collaborative, integrated, adaptive manner as well as developing networks and partnerships to provide a multiplier effect for resource preservation and sustainable livelihoods for the surrounding communities. |
