Description: Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) is one of the recipients of funding from GFCR through the KORALESTARI Program. The KORALESTARI Program aims to help overcome coral reef degradation in Indonesia resulting from destructive fishing, the impact of of unsustainable aquaculture, unregulated coastal development, land and marine pollution, climate change, and invasive species. The KORALESTARI Program will run in three priority areas: (i) Berau, East Kalimantan; (ii) Sawu Sea, East Nusa Tenggara, and (iii) Natuna Sea, Riau Islands. From the existing KORALESTARI Program Vision, one of the solutions to the blue economy that will be implemented is to encourage sustainable seaweed cultivation. Efforts to encourage sustainable seaweed cultivation practices will be implemented by collaborating with key partners who have accelerated sustainable seaweed cultivation efforts. For this, a consultant is needed who will act as a coordinator for the provision of grants and technical assistance to farmers in two work locations. The main purpose of the existence of the Coordinator for Grant Provision and Technical Assistance is to provide grants and technical assistance according to needs to farmers who are assisted by YKAN in two work locations, in Rote Ndao Regency and Berau Regency. The duration of work is 5 months, starting from April - September 2025.
