Description: YKAN is inviting Individual Consultant to submit proposal for the following scope of work: Project Background The Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) is a scientific-based non-profit organization established to support sustainable natural resource management in Indonesia. YKAN’s Sustainable Fisheries Program promotes collaborative and community-led management of coastal resources, aiming to sustain fish stocks, protect biodiversity, and ensure community well-being. A key initiative of the program is the Territorial Use Rights for Fisheries (TURF)-Reserve, a spatial management approach that combines community-based access rights with marine conservation. The process includes engaging local communities, customary leaders, and fishers in the development of marine zoning plans, agreements on resource use, and establishment of locally managed areas. This participatory approach requires robust coordination, facilitation, and systematic documentation to ensure legitimacy, buy-in, and long-term effectiveness. In parallel, YKAN has introduced the Crew Operated Data Recording System (CODRS) to generate accurate and timely fisheries data by engaging fishers in recording their catches through photographs and logbooks. CODRS data is critical for scientific analysis, zoning design, and monitoring the performance of the TURF-Reserves and other fisheries management interventions. Given the importance of consistent community engagement, capacity building, and reliable documentation, the Fishery Field Coordinator will play a central role in ensuring field implementation of the fisheries program activities across multiple sites. Objectives/Purposes of the Assignment: YKAN is seeking a qualified Individual Consultant as Fishery Field Coordinator For further details on the Scope of Work, please refer to the Terms of Reference available attached IMPORTAN TIMELINES. The proposal submission deadline is listed on this page. Proposal submitted after the deadline will not be considered. |
