The Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) is looking for a consultant to establish community engagement with fishermen, fish companies, and local government at the village, sub-district, and district levels to form a partnership with the YKAN Program. The consultant will serve as the BHS Fishery Coordinator, responsible for monitoring fish landings in North, West, East, and South Misool, Kofiau (Raja Ampat district), Werur Raya (Tambrauw district), Malaumkarta Raya (Sorong district), and other landing sites in Fisheries Management Areas (FMAs) 715 and 717. The BHS Fisheries Coordinator will work closely with the field technician and the Fishery Extension Specialist to communicate the fishery conservation work in the area. Additionally, the BHS Fishery Coordinator will oversee and collaborate with Nelayan Peduli Facilitators in BHS to achieve the Fisheries Program work plan. The contract will be for a 12-month period, starting from November 2024 to October 2025.
